- Get into grad school (masters, phd)
- Finish grad school (masters, phd)
- Go to: Burning Man, Coachella
- Hit my goal weight (125 lbs) - and then maintain it for at least a year
- Hit my goal size (4) - and then maintain it for at least a year
- Run fast (10 minute mile, 9 minute mile, 8 minute mile)
- Do a Cartwheel and a Pull Up
- Get Married to a really awesome dude + Start a Family (I think the family starts when you get married)
- Build a wardrobe [with a set of staples] that I love (Shoes, Bags, Coats, Clothing Staples, Jewelry) and can wear for years to come
- Live in San Francisco [x]
- Figure out how to manage my finances (learn about them, invest, etc) and start building nest eggs (house, travel, startup/time off)
- Figure out the grooming thing w kp so I don't have to care about it anymore, really, as soon as possible (upper lip, underarms, legs, arms, bikini)
- Work at a young startup that I am crazy about (
EE[x], CS[x]) - Travel: See the world: France, Spain, Greece, Italy, Morocco, Turkey,
England, Scotland, India [Kolkata, Bombay,New Dehli,Rajasthan, Pune], Austria, Indonesia,Thailand, Japan,New Zealand, Australia, See the country [cross country road trip] - Dye my hair a fun color (ombre?)
- Piercings! (Ear, Nose? Belly Button?) Tattoo! (henna colored)
- Make the very fun big girl first buys and projects that I love: diamonds, a bag I love (bottega veneta I think), a
luscious laptop, server, and desktop setup that I can pair with my first very light laptop (macbook air perhaps) allowing me to log in instead of lugging around massive computers all the time [yes, i know the tech things must be periodically updated, but I mean the first and exciting time], louboutins, espresso machine - Run a Marathon
- Complete viz side art project.
- Keep up a professional blog, and actually have it be updated regularly.
- Feel like I have an adult relationship w the people I don't have an adult relationship with, unless they are not adults.
- Live alone - throw my own dinner party - decorate my own place
- Do a grand/big project I am proud of that is not for a degree.
- Get involved with a non-profit cause I care about regularly again (or two)
- Improve my glassblowing, gem cutting, metalworking, knitting, photography, dancing (salsa, swing), hiking, camping, climbing, skiing/snowboarding, skating, swimming, meditation, and yoga skills.
- Stay connected with my closest friends while making new ones
- Learn how to use my cameras well, and for good.
- Take my brother on an awesome trip as a reward for seeing him graduate college.
- Decide my own worth, and truly believe that, instead of letting others decide it for me, based on things they define as important, instead of things I define as important.
- Achieve sophrosyne - or, be happy and content with myself, my life, and those around me, leading a life of moderation.
30 before 30
A mini bucket list of sorts, in no particular order, inspired by Franish. I grouped things that I think fall under the same large task together. I also acknowledge that since I have roughly 4 years of my 20's left, this might actually be more like, a 2-3 year plan. I know for example that if I got married or had a kid, I'm sure some of my goal real estate would shift over to being awesome at that. However, at the moment, for now, these are 30 goals I want to accomplish before I am 30.
